Welcome to Elevate…

Last week I shared with my network that I had become a Professional EOS Implementer? with EOS Worldwide. The power of EOS (The Entrepreneurial Operating System?) has been something that has been on my radar for a long time, and having helped organisations implement EOS, as well as implementing it in my own business, becoming a Professional Implementer was an obvious next step for me. You can hear more about my EOS journey in the short video below:

What is EOS?

You may be reading this and wondering what the heck is EOS?.

EOS is a simple, proven business operating system that can help your entrepreneurial organization clarify, simplify, and achieve its vision. EOS improves leadership teams in three areas: Vision, Traction?, Healthy.

?What does Vision, Traction, Healthy mean in EOS?

VISION?- Getting everyone in your organization on the same page with where you’re going and how you are going to get there.

TRACTION??- Instilling focus, discipline, and accountability throughout the company so that everyone executes on that vision—every day.

HEALTHY?- Helping your leaders become a more cohesive, functional, healthy leadership team and company.

I look forward to sharing more about EOS and the tools in the coming months, but if you’d like to find out more about EOS now, visit my Microsite -www.eosworldwide.com/adam-harris or send me a DM to arrange a time to chat.

The importance of sharing

Sharing with my network that I had become an EOS implementer was wonderful. Not only because I am proud and excited to be sharing my next steps with the world, but also because I was again reminded of the importance of sharing and connection. I have a large social media network of thousands and as much as I’d like to stay in contact and up to date with everyone it is impossible.

According to the British anthropologist Robin Dunbar, the ‘magic number’ for meaningful contacts is more in the region of 150 and 500 for acquaintances. Dunbar and his colleagues found this held true for early hunter-gatherer societies as well as more modern groupings in offices, communes, military organizations, and villages. Exceeding this number led to tensions and group breakdowns.

Whilst the evolution of our online world and social media may have changed many things, and this number may be debated, the truth is that we go through life gathering friendships, connections, and relationships with individuals that are important to us at different times. People migrate in and out of our closest circles of connection over time. The beauty of social media is that when we see alerts, photos or updates online we are reminded of those connections, the shared values and interests, and the moments that we have shared with that individual.

Sharing my update with my network has re-ignited conversations and connections with so many people. I’ve had many comments, messages and meeting invitations from people who would like to catch up. It has also led to three companies booking an EOS ‘90-minute meeting’ with me and their leadership team to find out more about what EOS is, help them understand the process, the model, and the toolbox and tell them how EOS can give them Vision, Traction? and Healthy.

When did you last update your network with what you are doing, your plans or ambitions? Who can you reach out and share with today?

In other news….

My other activities over the last week have had a sporting theme. I watched the All Blacks play against Ireland – I wonder does that make me a true Kiwi now…!? Although, I may have secretly been wishing for Ireland to win so perhaps not!

The most important sporting event of the week was a game with a different-shaped ball. Anyone who knows me will know of my love of football so there is no surprise that this is featured. However, it wasn’t my beloved Nottingham Forest that had my attention this week. Instead, it was my daughter’s first football (soccer!) match. Watching Evelin play was a delight, and I was so proud of her energy, enthusiasm, and tenacity. Most importantly though she had fun. Whatever she does in life I hope that she will remember to have fun. I have always been passionate about the importance of fun in life and in business. Fun can bring energy and help us to think and feel differently. This can be where the magic happens.

When was the last time that you had fun in life and in business? What can you do to make sure this is a regular occurance?
