A Simple Way to Boost Your Productivity

In this Forbes article, contributor Mark Murphy suggests taking an audit of your daily activities and environment and identifying one or two things that you can do without (maybe close that tab to your social media account) and eliminate them—and their distractions—from your work day.

We follow quantum computing news because it is fascinating and very relevant to data security. Once quantum computers are available for commercial use, current cryptography will be all but obsolete as the speed and compute power available will easily crack their algorithms. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been working to identify strong candidates for encryption in a post-quantum world, but one promising candidate known as Supersingular Isogeny Key Encapsulation (SIKE) was eliminated when, according to Ars Technica, the algorithm was defeated by researchers in about an hour using a regular PC. For now, there are three remaining candidates competing for a $50,000 prize should one prove durable for a post-quantum world.
