Welcome, Debra Bruemmer!

We are delighted to introduce a distinguished addition to our MedSec team, Debra Bruemmer , who joins us after an impressive 24 years at the Mayo Clinic.? As a renowned speaker and advocate for enhanced security management in hospitals throughout her?illustrious?career, Debra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will undoubtedly elevate our organization’s capabilities. In this newly created role, she will partner with small to mid-size hospitals and help them institute medical device security basics before investing in expensive tools.

Debra recently retired from the Mayo Clinic as a senior manager within the Office of Information Security. ?She was accountable for leading a team to address cyber security resiliency for foundational assets (e.g. servers, workstations, applications, medical devices, IoT devices), maintaining secure identity and access management practices, and upholding security principles in network segmentation. Debra received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Winona State University, a Masters in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, and is CISSP certified.?
