Welcome to The Dirty Diggs on Damages, or the D.D.O.D. I have built my career in the damage prevention industry for over a decade with public utilities; all the while crafting my skills, passion, leadership, and goals around protecting vital utility and infrastructure.? I appreciate the opportunity to network and train on all aspects of damage prevention, such as locating excavating and code rule. I have been on all sides of the industry from water and sewer to gas and electric; I have sprayed the paint, thrown the flags, hand shoveled around gas, electric, excavated water mains, and sewers, and even spent some time overseeing projects as a damage prevention driver. I am committed to educating the public and contractors on safe digging, and my hope is to gain awareness with the D.D.O.D. I am hopeful I can manage a weekly piece on anything and everything related to damage prevention, from actual damage investigations to training and industry discussions; I may even try and get a vlog or podcast of the ground as well.
