Associate Professor Peter Haertsch AM MBBS FRACS FRCS(Ed) is a specialist reconstructive plastic surgeon, and the owner and medical director of Cosmos Aesthetics Incorporated.

For over 15 years, starting with Dr Joseph Ajaka, and now with Associate Professor Dr Peter Haertsch at the helm, Cosmos Aesthetics have performed thousands of liposuction body contouring procedures, and liposuction + fat transfer surgeries.

Cosmos Aesthetics | A History

In 2007, Dr Joseph Ajaka founded and opened the first Cosmos Aesthetics in Double Bay, Sydney NSW under the name Cosmos Clinic.

By 2014, the demand for Vaser Liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL fat transfer procedures) at Cosmos Aesthetics, resulted in the expansion of clinic locations beyond Double Bay NSW.

Cosmos Aesthetics Incorporated have carried out more than 100,000 cosmetic procedures, including more than 30,000 liposuction and liposuction + fat transfer surgeries, and is now the largest provider of cosmetic surgery procedures in Australia.

NON-SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Anti Wrinkle Injections: To reduce muscle movement, balance the appearance of asymmetry, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles on the face. These injections are used to provide a refreshed and rested appearance.

Dermal Fillers: Designed to restore lost volume, enhance facial contours, and smooth out deeper wrinkles and folds. Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers can enhance the appearance by hydrating and filling areas like the cheeks, chin, lips, and under eyes in the tear troughs.

Coolsculpting: A non-surgical fat reduction treatment using cryolipolysis to treat the unwanted fat deposits on the body for patients who are looking for a non-invasive alternative to surgical fat removal. This procedure targets and cools fat cells to a temperature that triggers their natural death, which the body then naturally processes and eliminates.

SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Vaser Liposuction and Body Contouring surgeries available for suitable patients at Cosmos Aesthetics include but are not limited to:

Vaser Liposuction: Commonly referred to as Vaser Lipo, Vaser Liposuction is a surgical fat removal procedure designed to contour and shape the body by removing unwanted fat deposits for suitable candidates. Utilising ultrasound technology, Vaser Lipo breaks down and liquifies excess fat cells in targeted areas of the body. These fat cells are then suctioned out of the body, and removed using a cannula via small incision sites.

Fat Transfer to Buttocks: Often known as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), this butt enhancement procedure using Vaser Lipo, involves harvesting fat from one area of the body and injecting it into the buttocks. It's a natural alternative to butt implants, using the patient's own fat to achieve the desired look. The aesthetic goal desired is to enhance the shape, volume, and contour of the buttocks, providing a lifted and fuller appearance.

Fat Transfer to Breasts: A breast enhancement procedure without the use of breast implants, the treatment can be an option for suitable candidates looking for a moderate increase in breast size and a more natural feel. The patient’s own fat is extracted from specific areas of their body using Vaser Lipo, and is then grafted into the chest to enhance the size and shape of the breasts.

Chin Liposuction: This Vaser Lipo treatment targets the small pocket of fat in the double chin area, to reduce excess and localised unwanted fat for suitable candidates. Chin/Neck Liposuction can enhance facial balance and provide a slimmer, more contoured chin and neck appearance.
