Community Ops Manager ?? ? Working with Web3 and Open Source communities to scale DevRel strategies ? Social Impact + Tech
Hello beautiful,
Welcome to the first issue of The Community Chic Newsletter… !?
I hope it's not too late to wish you a happy new month.
Pheew... This issue is long overdue, and I can’t help but be excited to be finally doing this!!! -?Having an amazing community of people with whom I’ll be sharing my community journey, that’s a blessing, and I thank you all for being on this journey with me.
First things first, some introduction :)
I am Amarachi Johnson-Ubah. I used to be a Frontend Web Developer, before transitioning to Community Management. For the past 2+ years, I have worked with organizations to build, manage and interact with developer communities. Basically, I love teaching and interacting with people, and I started managing communities way before I knew it was a career path :)
When I started out, there were a lot of knowledge gaps to fill, and I basically Googled a lot of stuff until I was able to connect with other community folks who have been so helpful to me. Shout out to Jana Iris, Krystal Wu, Jacob Gross, and a whole lot of different community experts who have helped me in this journey.
Why this Newsletter?
…you may have asked?
I receive multiple questions on community management, and this newsletter is one of the ways through which I intend to answer some of these questions, as well as share resources, events, opportunities, and any juicy happenings in the community industry. I basically want to make the journey a lot easier for both beginners and intermediate community folks. So what are some of the things to expect in these newsletters?
Kindly share this email, on social media or invite your friends who are interested in community relations to subscribe. Feel free to share feedback or suggestion (s). Thanks!
We’ll be having a couple of interesting sections in these letters, including; Reads for the week (featuring articles written by me and other community experts), community tips, community manager spotlight, events/opportunities and Interviews with experienced Community Managers. (What other section will you like to see? Please let me know).

Before you go...
Expect to see one of Community Chic's newsletters in your email once every month. If there are any concerns or questions around the community that you’d love me to address, kindly reply to this email directly. I’ll try to write a blog post about it, or address it in one of our issues.
I’d love this newsletter to reach more people. Please help me get to 100 Subscribers. It’ll make my week. Here’s the link.
Also, if you have any remote Community Management-related job opportunities or/and events, send them my way, and I’ll share them with the community.
... Oh, one more thing,
Try to attend the CMX Summit happening from September 14th to 15th.
Till next time,
Au revoir,
Amarachi
