Here it is, the first How Humans Work newsletter! ??

And it’s a special one! After more than 2 years of writing, 27 interviews, 40,637 words on 107 A4 pages, 3,643 comments from 9 reviewers and countless cups of coffee, I’m nearly finished writing my book Zo werkt de mens (How Humans Work). This week, I'll be putting the finishing touches on the manuscript, after which Uitgeverij Business Contact will print the book. On November 7, Zo werkt de mens will be available in most bookstores.

Since the book will be in Dutch, I started a writing a Dutch newsletter. But because many of you don't talk Dutch and asked if the book will be available in English, I'll write a newsletter in English as well! ??

From now on, you'll receive a weekly email about putting humanity back at the center of teams and organizations. Expect?sneak peeks?from the upcoming book, unique insights, and practical tips to help your organization, your team, and yourself to work better.

Can't wait for what's inside? Let me give you a little preview: Over a hundred years ago was the first time big groups of people started to work together. Work consisted of manual labor with our hands. To make humans work effectively and efficiently, a few smart people came up with principles of how to work together. Since then, our work changed from working with our hands to working with our minds. We became knowledge workers. However, we still work according to the same principles that were invented a century ago, giving us more problems than we realize.

What's the solution? We need human-centered organizations where our way of working and organizing aligns with how we function as humans.
