October 2024 was bustling with activity across different fronts. While there were no major announcements, we have plenty of valuable updates:
New Releases!
File Uploads Preview
Ian Ward has started work on a preview for the new file uploads feature. Stay tuned for updates as this progresses.
Conference Highlights
Both Ian Ward and Adrià Mercader attended conferences to showcase CKAN: Canadian Open Data Summit and the CLARIN Annual Conference.
Theme Refresh Support
We provided support on the ongoing theme refresh work led by @aleeexgreeen, along with handling various pull requests and issues.
UI Revamp Nears Completion!
Great news! We're thrilled to announce that 70% of our UI revamp is now complete according to the plan. Here's what's new:
Font Licensing Resolved
We tackled the Noto Sans font licensing issue by publishing everything in the font package on a static page.
Design Enhancements

3 个月Rock on! One correction is that I’m pretty sure it was Adrià Mercader rather that Alex Gostev, MBA that attended the CLARIN Annual Conference. I heard that the Canadian Open Data Society / Communauté canadienne des données ouvertes event was very cool and it was tops that Ian Ward was again there to spruik and rally more folk into CKAN :) It has been a massive 2024 for CKAN and nothing less should be expected for 2025 :) Again, rock on!
