Why should there be a single corporate Innovation Team? How about doing Crowd-Innovation?

No one is as smart as a full team. No one is always right. No one is capable of doing more than 24 hours of work a day. However, a self arranged community indeed is.

The bad news is coordinating a huge community is pretty hard, even more if it is plenty of nerds. The good news is coordination is not that needed dealing with smart people, mainly when you want to do things different to the expected ones. Imperfection is the healthiest food for creativity.

We strongly believe at BBVA Innovation is a matter of all of us. In every sense, covering every perspective, and, of course, as close to reality as possible. That's the reason we've created BBVA-Labs, a commonwealth of internal technological innovators to share and contribute our empirical experiments to the world. Maybe they are not perfect, or even complete, but we all know how the sparkling inspiration muse works, other's ideas can guide you from a boring starting to a bright ending.
