With Cannes Lions announcing a new humour category for 2024, the value of laughter in advertising was a hot topic in the trade press this month. Director of Paid Media, Mark Byrne , wrote a piece for MediaCat UK on how to use laughter to truly connect with your audiences, arguing that if you're worried about "missing the mark when it comes to effective use of humour, TikTok can be a safe haven...Giving you space to experiment with funny content." ?
