Weird World? (A message from a villager)

I'm a villager which means I grew up in a small world (my village Ouaouizerth), this was the beginning of the story. This beginning is the best thing I had to develop a brain connected to the real world and curious about tiny details.
Growing up connected to mother nature may seem trivial but crucial to developing the ability to see the big picture (landscape), have a sharp observation capability, and have a sense of detail (An ant moving through the trees). Since my childhood, I was cradled in an environment connected to the beauty of the flower, the agility of the insect, and the shapelessness of water.
these things may seem obvious at this right moment but now I know that this was a gift that not everyone has. While growing up, I moved several times trying to learn new things and develop new skills. The journey is worth the effort but the more I move the more I notice that we are living in a weird world.
Yes, we are living in a weird world!
About my small world, I always remember that what makes a human being is his ability to be: integer, humble, straight, reliable, etc. The small society of villagers was very careful about the attitude of their fellow and this was visible in every stratum of the village.
Gratitude is the attitude.
One more important thing I became aware of, we had little but were grateful. This attitude of gratitude was and still is the secret of our happiness. Being grateful for every "one more" second, one more breath, one more sound, one more smell, one more taste, and one more step is magical. This was and still is our leitmotiv.
Now I'm moving faster, I'm flying higher, and I'm having more than I deserve but everything doesn't taste good as it should. I lost this magical link to nature and I see that humans are living in boxes and are looking for bigger ones. It's as if our lives are about running after boxes?and once we've got one we look for another.
what a shame, men have become boxes' slaves !
What shocked me was this state of continuous confusion we are experiencing every day. we can no longer tell the difference between the true and the fake, the good and the evil, the honesty and the intelligence (dishonesty became a form of intelligence). I'm aware of the duality of things but I think that we are living in a state of permanent emotional, intellectual, human being alienation.
2W: Weird World vs. World War?
I belong to a generation that did not live through the atrocities of the world war. A generation that has heard about the two world wars and all the damage, the traumas that they have caused to the human race.?
Far from me the idea to diminish the gravity of these two wars, but the one our generation is experiencing is worse on all levels:
We are destroying including me every meaningful thing we should be grateful for. We are trading our lives for pieces of paper or numbers in a bank account.
"We're at war with nature.?If we win, we're lost"
hubert?reeves
Yes, the war that we poor humans are currently waging will lead us to our doom. Maybe what is called "World War" was limited to a part of the world (the center of the world ??), but this one is invisible cancer that is eating away at the whole human race on the planet earth from within.?

Wake up !
Back to the basics
Far from me being a teacher (though I do teach in my spare time), I think that I am indebted to life and that such a modest voice as mine has the right to speak what it thinks and pass the message on to future generations.?
"Deep down, I think the earth is round
For one good reason
After we've been around the world
All we want is to be home"
Orelsan
There is much to say; life is full of lessons, and things are more complicated than they appear. I aim to continue sharing my perspective or attitude to the experience of life. And if life decides otherwise, I have a heartfelt message for my children and future generations:
I'm hopeful that one day this message will go through and that one day I will be acknowledged as a man of value who has truly lived a life full of happiness, harmony, and beauty.
"Look who we are, we are the dreamers
We make it happen 'cause we believe it
Look who we are, we are the dreamers
We make it happen 'cause we can see it"
Dreamers

2 年A villager: I knew it! I also spent my first years country side in France; They shaped my world view for an essential part, and more because of nature than because of youthfulness. Today I understand nature as the informational compass to live in sync; Without it, our intelligence coupled with free will can dwell us into craziness, collectively and individually. What you mentioned / quoted wrt being at war with nature is indeed collective craziness. “It's as if our lives are about running after boxes?and once we've got one we look for another.” “we train people to fit them into boxes as if their initial training is all that defines them as human. We forget that these people are endowed with an anti-bullshit system: free will and critical thinking.” Thank you for this post.
