There are times you will run across a liar so arrogant they truly believe their lie will never be uncovered. Anthony Weiner was one of those… at first.
After realizing the situation he’d lied himself into wasn’t going away, things changed. Mainly the tactic he was using to tell his lie.
At first he would say “No, it’s not me in those photos. My account was hacked and this is a prank.” As the press began to ask him to his face if the photos were of him and did he send them, he would never say “yes” or “no”.
He went for the classic tactic most politicians use when they don’t want to
answer a yes/no question. It may be my favorite to spot because it is usually so bold and so brazen and is delivered with such confidence, almost everyone misses it. Even the seasoned reporters miss it quite often.
