The Weight of Recognition
Have you ever thought about the weight of an award? We don’t mean the physical weight of any given award but rather the significance and impact it can have on an inventor. We have the pleasure of speaking with inventors every day and hear firsthand how much their awards mean to them and how they influence and motivate them.
Vital, but often overlooked, recognition can elicit different feelings and emotions depending on the recipient. To some inventors recognition, whether verbal or physical, is a byproduct of what they do.
"It reminds me of my valuable contributions to helping my company be on the cutting edge of the industry."
For others, it’s powerful and its impact reaches far beyond the company walls and can act as a catalyst for future innovations.
"This award will be an inspiration for my daughter."
Either way, when it comes down to it, inventor recognition is good for business.

Inventors spend a considerable amount of time working to create innovative ideas and products. Recognition has the potential to inspire your inventors to achieve new levels of innovation; it helps foster a culture of appreciation and gratitude, a culture of innovation that will define your organization.
With Covid paving the way for the “Great Resignation”, companies should now shift focus to the “Great Re-engagement”. Recognition engages employees, increases motivation, improves employee satisfaction, as well as develops a culture most companies want to see in their organization.
