WEICON solutions for Maintenance

The #repair, #maintenance and #servicing of #machines and systems are an important aspect of operational #processes. Regular maintenance and servicing is the only way to ensure that machines run reliably and that #production runs smoothly.

WEICON offers a whole range of products for maintenance and repair work. The #adhesives and #sprays are an effective helper in the maintenance of machines. They also simplify the maintenance and repair of defective systems.

In this Update, we present some of our solutions for maintenance.

?? Zinc Spray bright grade ??

A long-term cathodic #corrosion protection with approval for use in the food sector. WEICON Zinc Spray "bright grade" is approved by the German TüV and provides all metal surfaces with a long-lasting cathodic corrosion protection. It has a bright colour shade matching fresh hot-dip galvanization. It forms a fast-drying, adherent protective layer of microfine zinc flakes. The zinc flakes form a resistant protective layer even against extreme weather and environmental conditions. Even after more than 550 hours in the salt spray test according to DIN EN 9227, metal parts coated with WEICON Zinc Spray "bright grade" did not show any corrosion. WEICON Zinc Spray "bright grade" can be used for the coating of welded joints and drill holes, as a conductive intermediate layer for spot welding and wherever metal must be protected against corrosion.

?? WEICONLOCK AN 302-70 ??

The anaerobic adhesive and #sealant is suitable for the locking of threads and stud bolts. It can be used for thread connections up to M 20 and has a drinking water and DVGW approval. WEICONLOCK AN 302-70 has a medium viscosity, a high strength and is hard to disassemble.

Threadlockers prevent the loss of preload and secure screw connections against self-loosening due to #vibration and shock loads. Due to their good flowability, they completely fill the microscopically small spaces between the #threads and create a material bond. This provides both protection against loosening and effective #protection against #corrosion.

? Black-Seal Special Silicone ?

WEICON Black-Seal is a permanently elastic sealant for oil- or grease-resistant areas. It is black, high-temperature-resistant (+280 °C/+536 °F), free of solvents, strong, oil-resistant, grease-resistant, pressure-resistant, resistant to ageing and extremely elastic (breaking elongation of approx. 500 %). It is suitable for bonding and sealing in applications where particularly high oil and grease resistance is required. The product can be used on gearbox, valve and casing covers, oil sumps, water pumps, gears and axles, flanges, tanks and containers, and in many other areas.

??? WEICON HB 300 ???

A high-temperature-resistant epoxy resin system for repairs and moulding. WEICON HB 300 is pasty, steel-filled and high-temperature-resistant up to +280 °C/+536 °F for a short period of time. It is processed with a mixing ratio of 1:1. The epoxy resin system is also suitable for applications on vertical surfaces and can be used for the repair and bonding of cast and metal parts, for filling in blow holes, for repairing damage on containers, carriages and machine parts and for sealing pumps and pipes. The product can be used in mechanical and plant engineering, in equipment engineering, and in many other areas of industry.
