WEICON honoured as Fair Company 2023 | #21

#WEICON has been ranked as Fair Company 2023 by the Fair Company Initiative. The initiative is known as Germany’s largest employer initiative, which promotes a fair and sustainable working environment, especially for young professionals.

?? Orientation for young talents???

In times of demographic change, which is accompanied by a shortage of junior staff and skilled #workers, companies are competing for new talent on the labour market. At the same time, young professionals have very high expectations when it comes to choosing an #employer.

Since 2004, the Fair Company Initiative has been connecting #companies and dedicated young professionals. The Fair Company award offers job applicants the opportunity to check whether the company complies with their own values and standards.?

?? How does the assessment procedure work? ?? ?

Whether a company is considered fair in the opinion of the jury is assessed according to a wide range of criteria. These include, for example, aspects such as work organisation, cooperation and leadership, corporate culture and #values, commitment to employees, #diversity and equal opportunities, fair conduct in the market, social #responsibility and #sustainability .

The German “Institut für Besch?ftigung und Employability” (IBE), the scientific partner of the Fair Company Initiative, is behind the assessment which is based on two comprehensive analyses: the concept of fairness and the values of Generation Y and Generation Z are examined. Thus, the institute determines whether employers can be considered fair and attractive for young professionals.

?? What do young professionals expect????

For job applicants, certain aspects are crucial when selecting an employer. Fair conduct is at the top of the list: this includes equal rights for all employees, fair cooperation in the market and topics such as sustainability and corporate social responsibility. In addition, the potential for individual #development, performance-linked salary and bonuses as well as participation in the economic success of the company are important.
