Autoship is Where It's At

Top dog online pet supplier - Chewy - recently reported its net sales increased 4.8 percent year-over-year to $2.88 billion in its third quarter — a sizable bump driven largely by autoship customers' sales. In fact, roughly 80 percent of net sales were driven by autoship, a service that reached $2.3 million, up 8.7 percent. Pet Product News has the whole story here.

Pet Business released its annual Industry Recognition Awards, and we’re pumped to see one of our favorite brand partners on the list. The annual accolades, now in its 23rd year, highlights the pet industry’s most innovative products across a variety of categories. The winners, which are selected by the Pet Business editorial team, included our longtime brand partners - Kent Pet Group, who got the nod for their new litter formula, Poop Fighter?.

BARK Air Taking Off Soon

A company calling itself “a leading global omnichannel dog brand with a mission to make all dogs happy” has announced its making moves in the air. BARK recently announced the expansion of BARK Air, the world’s first air travel experience designed specifically for dogs and dog parents. According to this write-up in Pet Age, the brand is working with direct air carrier Air Wisconsin to explore trial flights on larger planes between New York City and Miami/Fort Lauderdale. The flights, which take off in February 2025, offer at least double the capacity and fares under $1,000 for dogs and their humans to travel comfortably and conveniently.
