I learned a new word today—"dharma", which is a concept embedded in Hinduism and Buddhism dating?back one thousand years. Originating in India, the word means “sacred duty,” and it can be a guiding principle to fulfill ambition and find a sense of inner peace.? Before you tune out thinking I'm heading down an "eat, pray, love" path, the author of the book?Everyday Dharma,?Suneel Gupta says it's about?the importance of building a “rest ethic,” and the simple hacks we can use to find more joy on the job. He gets even more practical when he says dharma is really the art of bringing purpose into an overwhelming life (a life where many women are challenged with the simultaneous responsibilities of?4 Jobs). To find what gives you the greatest satisfaction, Gupta suggests brief recovery or renewal. He says the average high performer is taking about eight breaks every day...
