In focus: USAID?
As part of our ongoing effort to spotlight salary trends across the sector, we dug into USAID job salary ranges. Here are a few key figures from our analysis of over 700 Devex job postings from the past 12 months that help explain how the bilateral behemoth approaches pay.?
$221,900 — The highest maximum annual salary for any role we looked at. This position was, unsurprisingly, based in Washington, D.C. While North America had the highest average max salary ($166,230) of any region, the country with the top average was Austria ($181,215).
51.3% — The percentage of jobs analyzed that were senior level. The GS-14 and GS-15 general pay scale levels, which represent the largest segment of these senior positions, had an average salary range of $150,616 - $173,319.
$6,163 — The lowest maximum salary for any role analyzed. This position was based in Zambia and representative of a varied salary range in eastern Africa. The region also featured one of the highest single salaries ($159,950 in Kenya) and had an average max salary of $83,793.
