Christopher Calio, president and chief operating officer of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has been elected to the Arlington, Virginia-based aerospace and defense company’s board of directors and will assume the role of CEO in May. He will succeed Gregory Hayes, who will continue to serve as RTX’s executive chairman.
Guidehouse has been acquired by?Bain Capital Private Equity, which purchased the firm from Veritas Capital for $5.3 billion. Scott McIntyre will remain as CEO and continue to lead Guidehouse's management team, who will keep their current positions.
Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will reorganize its operations into five business groups – Army, Navy, Air Force and combatant commands, space and intelligence and civilian – as part of efforts to drive business development and cross-collaboration, accelerate organic growth, improve customer intimacy and enhance innovation. The realignment will take effect on Feb. 3.

The U.S. Space Force has listed potential commercial satellite communications requirements for fiscal year 2024 and one of them is a follow-on for Inmarsat's maritime services blanket purchase agreement in support of Department of Defense and federal agencies. Most notable is the potential seven-year, $750 million follow-on contract for military Ka-band global satellite service subscriptions.
