IBM (NYSE: IBM) has agreed to acquire HashiCorp (Nasdaq: HCP) for approximately $6.4 billion, or $35 per share in cash, to expand its infrastructure and security lifecycle management capabilities designed to help organizations automate their multicloud and hybrid cloud environments amid the rapid deployment of artificial intelligence technologies.
CACI International has booked a potential $1.3 billion task order to provide U.S. European Command and Africa Command with communications and information technology expertise over a five-year period. Commenting on the award, John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a 2024 Wash100 Award recipient, said, "We are uniquely positioned to equip the warfighter to successfully execute their missions and enhance communication, collaboration and coordination with partner nations."

Sigma Defense Systems, a portfolio company of Sagewind Capital, has moved to expand its Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control capabilities with its acquisition of Herndon, Virginia-based electronic warfare systems provider EWA.
The U.S. Air Force has begun seeking proposals for a potential $5.7 billion follow-on multiple-award contract to provide combat air forces contracted air support services to help protect U.S. assets against advanced airborne threats. CAF CAS II seeks to procure non-personal services for realistic advanced adversary air threats and close air support threats to support pilot combat readiness and joint terminal attack controller training.
Larry Bradshaw, formerly senior vice president of finance at BlueHalo, has been appointed chief financial officer at information technology and advisory services provider Tria Federal. Holders of two or more General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule contracts that share a unique entity identifier must submit by May 24 a plan to consolidate those awards as part of phase 3 of the MAS Consolidation effort.
