ARA research finds more people returning to rail amidst cost-of-living pressures

A survey of 2500 metropolitan residents across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Brisbane commissioned by the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) found that while the use of rail was changing, public transport users recognised the affordability and sustainability benefits rail delivers and would welcome the increased frequency of services and convenience that will result from new rail projects underway.?Read more.

DB’s new ICE 3neo makes inaugural trip between Frankfurt/Main and Cologne

German rail company, Deutsche Bahn (DB), has placed its latest ICE generation rolling stock into service – around one week earlier than originally planned. Despite pandemic-related restrictions and disrupted supply chains worldwide, the inaugural passenger trip of the ICE 3neo took place between Frankfurt/Main and Cologne (5 Deember 2022). Read more.
