What we’re reading right now ??

What are the jobs AI is actually replacing right now? Some of the answers may surprise you, like supply chain optimization.

What’s going on in Silicon Valley. Some industries are growing, others are slashing jobs in a period where tech may be reinventing itself. ?

Foreign companies are making strides. Just as US companies may outsource certain roles to foreign countries in the face of remote work, international companies may start recruiting more US workers too.

What each generation wants at work. Gen Z, Millenials, Gen X and Baby Boomers all look at benefits differently, and what’s most important to them in the workplace. Millennials report the lowest level of job satisfaction.

One of the hardest spots to be in as a job seeker right now (+ our tips)

Not all job searches are created equal. Making a lateral move or having multiple offers to leverage is one of the best spots to be in as a job seeker. On the other hand, re-entering the workforce after a period of not working or trying to change careers can be among the most difficult.

When candidates we work with are switching careers or even industries, we often advise them to think critically about their change and ultimately craft a statement to rehearse. Higher salaries or a better work-life balance can’t be the reasons you give a potential employer for wanting to make a shift (even if these are factors!).
