Wednesday, Students from Regent Secondary School, Abuja, had a tour around NIGCOMSAT’s mask farm where they saw different Satellite antennas, they had an educative session with one of the Engineers and, as I always do, I engaged them by asking them questions.? Moving on, ?I was honored to have been a panelist at this year’s African Space Leadership Institute. At African Space Leadership Institute (ASLI) event. My presentation was titled "The Equator: Tapping into the Rich Asset." It speaks to the fact that there are massive opportunities in the Space and Satellite business beyond owning satellites. Countries and regions can benefit from these opportunities. Geo satellites are mostly launched into orbits from the Equatorial region (countries on or around the Equator) and countries in the region include Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya.?Countries in the equatorial region are best for launching pads and having launching facilities. Having such infrastructure within African countries in the Equator will create Economic impact and Improve their GDPs. Read my slides here .
The NIGERIAN COMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE LIMITED (NIGCOMSAT) team held a highly productive meeting with the chairman of MOFI (Ministry of Finance Incorporated). Accompanied by my team, we visited Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, the Chairman of Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MoFI).?
NIGCOMSAT was honored to host a visit from the Nigerian Air Force, led by Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle O. Daramola. The Air Force, with almost 48 years of service, plays a crucial role in defending Nigeria's integrity and airspace. We were delighted to discuss ongoing initiatives during their tour of our Abuja facility. The visit reinforced our commitment to shared goals and partnership success. We're confident in our collaboration to support their national and international efforts. Special thanks to Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar for making this happen. Looking forward to future collaborations!?
The key theme for us this week was engaging clients and stakeholders about our strategic blueprint. Having detailed sessions on how we plan to focus on; Enhanced Service delivery, reliable infrastructure and ensuring we have a continuous technology roadmap. We want trusted partnerships where our clients chose us as their preferred satellite service provider in this market. As we do this we also continue to impact our nation serving unreached and under served areas, empowering them and promoting digital inclusion..
