Netflix is testing a redesigned homepage for its TV app, featuring dynamic tiles that expand to display detailed information and short previews when selected. This new design makes it easier for users to decide on content by providing prominent information directly within the tiles. Additionally, Netflix is streamlining its menu, moving it to the top of the screen with simplified options and adding a "My Netflix" tab for personalized recommendations. If successful, this update will roll out to more users in the coming months. Link

DIRECTV Stream will introduce individual user profiles by the end of 2024, enhancing user experience by allowing personalized content recommendations and separate viewing histories. Some users have already accessed this feature, indicating it's in the testing phase. Profiles will allow viewers to keep their preferences distinct without affecting other household members' settings. Link

Amazon has agreed to acquire Indian video streaming service MX Player from Times Internet for less than $100 million (the company was once valued at $500m). This deal, finalized after nearly two years of discussions, aims to boost Amazon's presence in smaller Indian cities and towns. This move comes as WBD seeks to cut costs and boost revenue amidst a 7% year-over-year decline in overall revenue, although streaming revenue saw a slight increase. Link
