Did you know that, according to UNICEF, approximately 129 million girls worldwide are not attending school? While enrollment rates for primary and secondary education are nearing equality, there remains a significant gap in completion rates.
Bottom line: It's getting better, but there's still work to be done.?
This year, the theme for International Women's Day is 'Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress' with a focus on addressing economic disempowerment.??
With that in mind, here's what we'll cover in this edition:

Each neuron connects with other neurons, adding up to one quadrillion connections. As these combine, storage capacity increases.

How can we engage students in activities that inspire an inclusive mindset

Why it matters:?Despite these achievements, challenges persist, including entrenched gender disparities in STEM education. (Via UNESCO)
2?? Women-led universities: For the first time, women lead 25% of the world's top 200 universities. This is a milestone that highlights gradual but positive progress towards gender equality in academic leadership, despite previous leadership challenges faced by female presidents in elite institutions.?

3?? English concerns: Ofsted has expressed concerns about the effectiveness of teaching writing and spoken language in UK primary and secondary schools. The inspectorate highlighted that while reading curricula have advanced, there is uncertainty about how to support students who struggle.?
