4.??YOYO Talk: 24 Solar Terms- Spring Equinox

Spring Equinox?(Chinese: 春分), marks the beginning of spring. As of today, the days start to become longer than the nights in the Northern Hemisphere. This increase in daylight hours brings a greater abundance of sunlight, presenting numerous opportunities to utilize solar power for sustainable solutions.

Astronergy's PV modules are designed to excel in efficiency, ensuring that every ray of sunlight contributes to clean electricity generation. One of our secrets is Light Redirecting Film technology.

With a reflective layer featuring a wavy structure on the front side, we optimize sunlight utilization by redirecting sun rays that would be lost between PV cells. Additionally, the backside of the film minimizes shading, thereby enhancing the bifacial rate and increasing backside power generation.

As we step into spring, let's harness the full potential of solar energy together to build a greener world!

5.??Thank you for joining us at ?Solar & Storage Live Africa!

According to?AFSIA (Africa Solar Industry Association), Africa witnessed a total solar installation of 3.7 GW in 2023, with South Africa alone accounting for 79%. It should be noted that 75% of South Africa's solar installation comes from the C&I segment.

During our attendance at?Solar & Storage Live & The Future Energy Show Africa, our expert team introduced the technological features of ASTRO N7s ZBB-TF PV modules, which are designed specially for distributed markets.

Leveraging Astronergy's self-developed TOPCon 4.0 cell technology, ASTRO N7s can achieve a module efficiency of 23% with a power output of up to 460W. What's more, weighing just 21.5kg, these modules are lightweight and easy to install. Find more information about our products here:?https://lnkd.in/eMvZaaP3!

A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth and engaged with our team! We will continue to bring more green energy to Africa!

6.??Reliving the excitement of Astronergy’s new product launch in Pakistan!

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of Astronergy's new product launching event in Pakistan on February 26th!

Among the highlights of the event was the debut of Astronergy's ASTRO N7 n-type TOPCon PV modules in Pakistan. Powered by TOPCon 4.0 cell technology, ASTRO N7 can achieve an average cell efficiency of 26.15% in mass production with power output up to 620W. By incorporating large-size rectangular silicon wafers, ASTRO N7 can effectively reduce BOS costs for our customers. ?

Moreover, we are thrilled to announce our strategic partnerships with new distributors in Pakistan, which will enable us to better serve local clients and meet their evolving needs.

Looking ahead, we will work closely with our local partners to support Pakistan's sustainable development with our innovative module products!

PV market news this week:

1.???Sri Lanka launches tender for 165 MW of utility-scale solar

Sri Lanka has launched a tender for 165 MW (AC) of utility-scale solar, accepting applicants to develop solar plants up to 5 MW in size, connected to one of 20 selected substations across the country. The winners will sign 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the state-owned Ceylon Electricity Board.

2.???Japan’s 19th solar auction concludes with average final price of $0.034/kWh

Japan has allocated 134 MW of PV capacity in its latest procurement exercise. The lowest bid for a 19 MW solar project came in at JPY 0.00/kWh, surprisingly, while other bids ranged from JPY 4.94 ($0.03)/kWh to JPY 6.98/kWh.

3.???Cuba addresses energy crisis with 2 GW of solar

Cuban Minister of Energy Vicente de la O Levy said in a recent press conference that the government plans to install 92 solar projects to add an installed capacity of 2 GW by 2028.

4.???IRENA says world needs 1.1 TW of renewables per year

“We need to deploy around 1.1 TW of renewable energy capacity per year by 2030. Every technology that provides a reduction in CO2 emissions is good, but technology neutrality may not be the solution, as only renewables ensure the necessary speed and scale to achieve the proposed targets,” said IRENA President Francesco La Camera, in reference to the slow pace at which nuclear energy is currently driving the global energy transition.

5.???Romania sets ceiling price of €91/MWh for solar in first renewables auction

Romania has set a ceiling price of €91 ($99.33)/MWh for solar energy in its first renewables auction. A legal analyst tells pv magazine that this strike price is a good level for the nation’s first contract-for-difference (CfD) auction, but warns that certain aspects of the draft legislation could significantly affect the bankability of the scheme.

6.???Japan unveils 2024 feed-in tariff levels for residential, commercial PV

Japan’s feed-in tariffs (FITs) for this year will range from JPY 9.5 ($0.06)/kWh to JPY 16/kWh, depending on system size. The Japanese government also says it will hold four more auctions for solar projects above 250 kW this year.

7.???India’s cumulative PV waste to soar by 2050

India’s cumulative solar waste will increase to 600 kilotons (kt) by 2030 and 19,000 kt by 2050, according to a new report by the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW).
