Weekly Update (July 26)
Astronergy news this week:
1.??Astronergy Leadership Insights!?
In an industry event hosted by China Photovoltaic Industry Association ,?Dr. Chuan Lu, Chairman & CEO at Astronergy, gave an insightful speech about the latest solar industry development.
Dr. Chuan Lu noted that over the past year, the solar industry has experienced a temporary supply-demand imbalance, causing rapid price volatility across the supply chain. As n-type TOPCon technology becomes mainstream, the accelerated optimization of production capacity has caused some asset devaluation challenges.
However, he added that the global demand and growth trends for solar energy remain robust. By 2035, renewable energy will make up nearly 58% of China’s energy structure. These temporary market imbalances don’t change the industry’s high growth potential. The future of solar energy looks bright.
To achieve carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2050, Astronergy will continue to innovate and lead the way in advancing n-type TOPCon technology and optimizing our production capacity. We remain committed to driving sustainable growth and seizing the promising future of the solar industry.

PV market news this week:
Germany’s Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) says 220,000 balcony PV systems were installed in the country in the first half of the year, reaching 200 MW.
Grid operator Enedis said last week that France installed 1,013 MW of new PV systems in the second quarter alone. If the current growth rate continues in the second half, the country could install record capacity in 2024.
Panama has canceled an auction announced in February for 500 MW of renewable energy capacity. It would have been the country’s first renewable energy tender in a decade and the first in Central America to include battery storage systems.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that she would look to expand the list of goods exempt from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The Indian government has published its latest budget, which includes a plan to install new rooftop solar systems on ten million homes across the country.
France’s new feed-in tariffs (FITs) for May to July 2024 range from €0.1430 ($0.1551)/kWh to €0.1088/kWh, depending on system size.
The state-owned Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has launched a tender for three grid-connected solar projects with a combined capacity of at least 9.4 MW. The deadline for applications is Sept. 6.
The Maldives is accepting bids from developers to install 15 MWp of solar systems across selected islands under a design, build, finance, own, operate, and transfer basis. The deadline for applications is Oct. 22.
Swiss renewable energy investment group GoldenPeaks Capital and German commercial bank Nord/LB have closed €109 million in financing to support two solar PV project portfolios in Poland. The portfolios comprise over 100 small-scale solar PV projects, with a combined capacity of 177MW.
