Weekly Update (August 16)
Astronergy news this week:
1.??Astronergy at 16th Guangzhou International Solar PV & Energy Storage Expo
Astronergy was excited to showcase our latest module products and technology achievements at the 16th Guangzhou International Solar PV & Energy Storage Expo!
Our ASTRO N7 PV modules, caught the eyes of the visitors with remarkable performances. Featuring TOPCon 4.0 cell technology and large-size rectangular silicon wafers, ASTRO N7 increases single-string installation capacity by 12.3%, significantly lowering solar system costs for clients.
At Intersolar Europe 2024, Astronergy was awarded the "Certificate for ASTRO N7" by TüV NORD GROUP, highlighting its outstanding performance in LCOE.
Astronergy will stay committed to product excellence and welcome to find more details about our products at www.astronergy.com/product-series/ .
2.??Astronergy ASTRO N7 hail test
Astronergy ASTRO N7 n-type TOPCon PV modules have passed the rigorous hail tests conducted by leading industry organizations, including DEKRA , RETC (Renewable Energy Test Center) , TüV Rheinland Group , and UL Solutions .
In the Astronergy PV Module Testing Center, we conduct the hail test to showcase the outstanding hail resistance and durability of ASTRO N7. After several hits by 55mm ice balls on different points of the module surfaces, no damages or cracks were found.
Watch the video to get an inside look at why ASTRO N7 is an ideal choice for reliable solar energy solutions.
3.??Solar 101-EP.3: Insulation Test & Wet Leakage Current Test
Welcome to the Episode 3 of Astronergy Solar 101! In this episode, we will introduce the insulation test and wet leakage current test following the IEC 61215-2 standard.
These tests ensure our solar modules are electrically safe and durable, capable of withstanding prolonged outdoor exposure.
Watch the video to find more excellent performance of our module products!
4.??Astronergy Project Case: 400MW “Solar+Grazing” integrated project
Astronergy recently contributed to the completion of a 400MW “Solar+Grazing” integrated project in Tongren, Qinghai, China. As one of the core module suppliers for this project, we supplied 240MW of our high-efficiency ASTRO Series modules with excellent efficiency, enhanced reliability, and high adaptability to diverse environmental conditions, especially high-altitude conditions.?
-Power Generation: 770 million kWh/year
-Capacity: 240MW
-Carbon Dioxide Reduction: 1.93 million tons/year
This project significantly enhances the utilization of land resources while effectively alleviating the local electricity pressure on the local grid at the same time with renewable energy.?
Astronergy is committed to driving the transition to clean energy globally and will continue to collaborate on solar projects that can promote sustainable development.?

PV market news this week:
Solarvest Holdings Berhad has signed five separate CGPAs in Malaysia. Under the CGPAs, Solarvest and its partners will own and develop two solar power plants in Lumut, Perak, and Kulim, Kedah – both in western Malaysia. The projects will generate 59.98 MW, which consumers will collectively offtake for 21 years through a contract for difference mechanism at agreed pricing.
India installed about 9.6 GW of utility-scale solar, 1.8 GW of rooftop PV, and 688 MW of off-grid capacity in the first half of 2024, or roughly 12.1 GW in total, according to a new report by JMK Research.
The Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has presented three scenarios for its 2050 green goals, changing in accordance with developments in solar, hydrogen, and nuclear power production. In the most solar-focused scenario, the country would have a PV capacity of 108 GW.
The Board of Investments of the Philippines has issued a green lane certificate to Terra Solar Philippines for an under-construction project that has been touted as the world’s largest solar array. The PHP 185.28 billion ($3.25 billion) project is set to feature 3.5 GW of solar panels and a 4.5 GWh battery energy storage system. It will span 3,500 hectares across the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.
