Your inspirational quote for this week is:
“The magic of new beginnings is never about the beginning itself. It's about the momentum your action generates, the courage to overcome uncertainties, the strength you'll gain from stepping out of your comfort zone " - OurMindfulLife.com
The action I'm inviting you to take on is:
At first glance, you may baulk at this action and assume I must be bananas thinking this is outside your comfort zone. However, though you may baulk, my guess is you follow that with some sort of "that's unnecessary" statement of resistance....Hence, it's outside your comfort zone =) The action is related to rewards for that goal of yours you are fleshing out. I invite you to create what I call a "Reward Bank"; a table or Amazon list where you generate ways you will rewards yourself when you accomplish tasks, milestones and the goal itself. It can include "mini" things like special coffees or baked goods or it can include "large" things like vacations, tech gadgets or meaningful jewelry. I encourage you to come up with rewards of all types of values. My people OFTEN resist rewards, but it never fails, once they come to embrace rewards, progress and joy flow more easily. We all have our journey though, trust yours. For some of you, you may barely reward yourself as you take action on your goal and simply creating this possible reward bank is actually a large step for you, as you never think about rewards. Yes, the goal is ALWAYS a reward in itself. AND. Rewards are like our "why"; they keep us on track when we're tired, sick or lacking motivation.
You can hear [briefly] about my action in next week's newsletter. If you're comfortable sharing about your experience, I would LOVE to hear from you! Respond here or tag me on Facebook or Instagram! Have a great week!
About last week's action:
I did as promised and tried olives. I tried black ones, kalmata ones and green ones. I believe the green ones are edible and will get added to the shopping list going forward. While I don't know if I want to eat them plain, I think I can find something to put them with. My email subscribers received a special treat, a video of how it actually went for me =) If you'd like to see it, sign up to receive this in your inbox and I'll send you the link to the video...I wouldn't say it's inspiring but it might be entertaining.
What came up for you? Anything you're up for sharing? As always, I'd love to hear from you! If you want to connect via zoom and can't find time that works for you, let me know! I have other times available for those interested!
