Non-Contact High-Res LIEL Characterization From Aerial PV Inspection And ISFH: Aerial PV Inspection GmbH and the Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) have teamed up to develop Light Induced Electroluminescence (LIEL) – an EL inspection method to analyze PV field systems and to identify failures in PV modules. In contrast to the common technique, no electrical current needs to be induced in the PV modules, which decreases the measurement effort drastically. Kiwa PI Berlin Introduces New Module Quality Assurance Service For UK: Global technical advisor and quality assurance provider Kiwa PI Berlin has partnered with aerial inspection specialist Above Surveying and large-scale solar assets advisor 2 Degrees Kelvin (2DK) to launch a dedicated quality assurance solution for the UK solar PV market.?Called Module Condition Monitoring, this service is claimed to be a one-stop-shop offering that guarantees rigorous monitoring of 100% of the module population at every stage of a module’s lifespan.?The trio explains that traditionally solar projects source various services from various service providers resulting in data gaps and value loss in the module quality assurance (QA) scope.
