Weekly Social Media Tip (Insta Story)

Instagram had added a captioning tool for Stories.

Most people watch stories with the sound turned off, so adding captions to your videos can help to increase your engagement.

To add them:

• Head to the Instagram Stories or Reels camera and either record or upload a video from your camera roll.
• Once uploaded or recorded, tap the sticker icon.
• Select the “Captions” sticker.
• At this stage, you can choose from four different text formats, move the text around the screen, and change the colour.

And that’s it! Your captions should now be generated on your Instagram story.

Instagram tends to roll out new features slowly, so if you don’t have the Captions sticker yet, it should be coming soon.
