WHAT'S TRENDING?

#LuckyGirlSyndrome - Does it pay off?

TikTok's latest viral hashtag 'Lucky Girl Syndrome' has reached over 79 million views within the last week - and the concept is very simple. You tell yourself that you're lucky; so lucky that only good things happen to you. Then, supposedly all your dreams come true.

This may be a bit of a reach, however, thousands of people on TikTok have posted videos about how this manifestation strategy has changed their lives and helped them to gain new opportunities they would've never expected. But does it work?

This positive affirmation strategy actually uses some of the concepts from cognitive behavioural therapy, which teaches that negative thinking is learned, and therefore, can be changed.

What do you think? Is this latest TikTok trend the real deal, or is it 'toxic positivity'? Let us know in the comments below this article.

INSTAGRAM UPDATES

Instagram is changing it's UI - Bye Bye Shop Tab ??

Instagram are finally listening to consumers now it seems... The platform have announced they'll be putting the '+' button back in the middle of the navigation bar at the bottom - where Reels was moved to previously. Reels will shift to the right, and the Shop tab that currently takes up this space will disappear.

This doesn't mean that Instagram Shop is gone forever - businesses can still set up and run their shops as normal as Instagram continues to "invest in shopping experiences that provide the most value for people and businesses across feed, stories, reels, ads and more."
