Last month Pret A Manger announced changes to their subscription-based loyalty programme, where the value of this programme for members was altered (and reduced) significantly.?It’s been interesting to see the reactions in the industry and time will tell how customers react to this change.?

Subscription schemes continue to be a massive growth area for the loyalty industry, triggered by members insatiable need for instant gratification.? We don’t want to wait for our membership benefits to accrue over time, or with spend.? We want them NOW and if that means we have to subscribe then TAKE OUR MONEY!!

We see lots of different types of subscription programmes, especially in leisure and entertainment but every sector has variations of these models now.?
