Weekly Recap

Let's grow your career in electrical engineering. | Director of Design & Engineering @ Aureos Energy
This week my posts reached over 28,000 people, or so as LinkedIn is telling me.
You are probably one of the people reading my posts, and for that I want to say thank you!
Readers seemed to like posts that are discussing trends and insights on the electrical engineering industries, such as this one on Batter Energy Storage System BESS projects:
And I do understand why it resonates with people. It is because a lot of people, including myself feel very optimistic about the way energy is going and especially about batteries as a way to help us better harness the abundant energy we are blessed with.
Mentorship
I sometimes wonder if I was graduating today whether I would have gravitated towards working on BESS projects. To tell the truth, that is what I advise some people I speak to. This had me wondering about mentorship and the role it plays in guiding engineers in different career paths.
This is why I am asking readers what they think about having a mentor here.
Going live on interviews
I have always tried to push my self to do more public speaking. It is because it scares me, and at the same time, it gives me tremendous enjoyment. This is why I have been trying this live gig!

And it is feeling even better than I thought with the questions and engagement I keep getting. Last week we spoke about how to prepare for a job interview, and it was great to explain how people struggle and why, and how easily can once prepare through articulating their experience in a clear way.
This video has been viewed over 800 times to my amazement.
Questions from engineers
But the one thing that caught my attention this week is the amount of engineers who asked me about why and when can they get better job opportunities. This is a tricky one, so I made another video about it:
If you want to read more from me and in deeper insights, then please consider subscribing to my substack where I answer all the questions I get:
Thank for everyone who has engaged with me this week and given me a comment or question. I really appreciate it as always. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
