Weekly Q&A

What are some of the ways to get our posts on the major social media platforms more targeted visibility* (not just random volume)?

Whether we're doing Handraiser Posts to get inbound interest , or using the passive automated income strategy , it's a skill applicable to both.

Asking really about the super black hat ultra secret methods of subjugating the algorithms to your demands, or as my 10 year old boy would say, the "super sigma giga-chad" methods.

* Frankie, hope you’re good my brother.

I'm assuming this will be a Monday Q&A question, which would be helpful. Love your weekly Q&A’s by the way, watch them every week without fail, they help me a lot, so thank you.

Anyway, looking for some advice.

This question isn’t exactly directly related to your book, so hope you don’t mind.

So about eight weeks ago I was making my final decision on my niche.

I had it down to two: Combat sports gyms/schools/academies (boxing, martial arts, BJJ, karate, Krav maga etc), and travel agents/agencies.

I went with travel agents and have been building my brand around that for the past two months.

Now, I’ve come to realise that travel agents don’t have a great deal of control. They sell whatever vacation packages are available from the tour operator, have no control over pricing, and earn a commission, so they can’t create special offers.

I knew this (on some level), but it didn’t really click until I had my first conversation with a prospect about a “first date” offer.

I’d qualified them as a shoe buyer (I think they’re even running Facebook ads) and have a small team too, but they can’t do discounts because they don’t charge fees, and prices are set by tour operators.

So I realised for first date offers, unless I introduce them to a messenger bot or something similar, they would have to be able to add value by throwing in bonuses with upsell offers.

But my bigger concern is running Facebook ads for them.

There’s definitely demand, I’ve seen multiple agencies running ads now, had enough comments on my posts, and private conversations now to know, but since the only thing they have control over is what vacation packages they can promote, what's available, I’m worried this could limit the effectiveness of campaigns, and results I’m able to get.

Maybe I’m overthinking it. I won’t know until I’m putting things into action. I just don’t want to get another few months in only to realise I’ve made things way more difficult for myself than they had to be.

Right now, I’m unclear on just how much this will affect sales (if at all), but like I say as far as I can tell, travel agencies are quite restricted.

I’m sure tour operators run offers, which agents can promote, but I feel like their inability to control things could be an obstacle, one I’d rather not be up against.

Honestly, I feel like I should cut my losses while I still can and go for combat sports gyms instead.

I’m two months in, having conversations, firing lead magnets out and potentially getting close to delivering a first date and onboarding my first client in this niche.

But I’m also confident I could get back to where I am now in half the time it took with travel agents, a month or less.

Plus, I haven’t been able to shake the feeling that I should have picked combat sports from the start. I love both niches, but I've always been quite passionate about fighting and self defense.

Appreciate any advice you have to offer. If you were in my position, would you stay the course or make the switch?

Thanks in advance Frankie.

* Those of you using TimeDoctor for time tracking, did you encounter freelancers who refused to use it ?

I had someone tell me " it is my non-negotiable to work with a time-tracking device that captures my screen in random times. First, I use my computer for personal stuff and I also handle other projects that is not for discretion.I used time doctor last week and to be completely honest, I wasnt really comfortable using it"

Thoughts?

* What is the coolest gift you have gotten for a client?

Got a client who has spent almost 100k with us, and want to get them something special.

I'm working on a few ideas, but wanted to see what other guys/girls have done!
