Floating Wind Days is happening in less than a month! The exciting program will finish off with a spectacular trip out to the two floaters outside Karm?y.?
The Norwegian prime minister will open this year′s flagship event for the floating wind industry in Haugesund May 24-25. On day two, all of the participants will go by boat out to see the METCentre turbines up close.?
Due to the increased demand, SAS has scheduled an extra flight from Haugesund to Oslo on May 25 at 21.30. Hotels are also filling up, so you should secure your tickets today!
Norwegian authorities suggest areas suitable for offshore wind in Norway
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) has concluded their work with mapping potential new areas for bottom fixed and floating offshore wind.?
- It is very positive that NVE points to areas along the entire coast. We need that to reach the target of 30 GW before 2040. It will help supply chain companies see more opportunities in their region, says Arvid Nesse , head of Norwegian Offshore Wind.

World leading METCentre strengthens the team
The Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) has hired Monica B?rdsen as a new project manager.
The METCentre is gearing up test activity and will have eight turbines installed by 2025/26.
Monica B?rdsen has now joined the team. She has a Master of science in energy technology and industrial economics. The last few years she has been working with the Doggerbank project in Aibel , in the role as planning manager for Doggerbak C.
