Weekly Nugget: The Value of Feedback

Weekly Nugget: The Value of Feedback

I recently had the privilege to attend one of the Level 10 Meetings? of one of my clients, as a fly on the wall.?We, as EOS Implementers?, do this once the client has learned to do the basic functions, and have run their Level 10 Meetings? for several weeks.

They've tried all the theory, they started applying it into practice, and this is now the time to see that they're on the right track. I come in as the Implementer??on their virtual meeting, and I'm simply a fly on the wall throughout the whole meeting.?I look for two things: First of all, what is their form? Do they follow the proper form? So, do they have the agenda, do they stick to their time allotment, and do they spend the majority of their time in solving issues, and not in simple discussions or reporting back? That's the first form.?

But then also the second part is, what is the substance of the meeting? How deep do they dive on their issues? How open and honest are they? Have they mastered the tools that I've taught them up to this point, so the substance is really important??For me as an EOS Implementer? it's an invaluable tool to see where the client is in their journey of mastery.

I can see weak points, I can see strong points, I can encourage, I can come up with ideas for improvement and I can see gaps. If there are any gaps, I make notes and we bring that into the training for the next in-house sessions, when we do some training.?

Feedback is an incredibly valuable tool if you're open to it. If you have a culture of feedback in your organization, and people know how to give feedback to each other, how this is an uplifting experience to help people see what is in their blind spots, to see where their areas of possible improvement is, and if you can do this in a positive and in a growth manner, people will go with you and come with you on the ride.

I highly recommend to build this into as many systems as you possibly can, in the business and in life. If you're open to feedback, and you're willing to give feedback to others in this mindset of 'let's grow together, let's be better together', you'll see incredible results.?

Talk to me if you want to know more about feedback, or the Level 10 Meeting?, or deep dive on issues or any of the aspects. I'd love to tell you more.?

Have a great week!

Best Wishes,

Nico
