Global Review of Aid for Trade 2024 (26-28 June)
Over the past 18 years, the international community has helped unlock USD 648 billion to support trade development and raise living standards in developing economies, including least-developed countries, via Aid for Trade. The 2024 Global Review of Aid for Trade, held at the WTO's headquarters in Geneva, will bring together trade and development practitioners, including ministers, heads of international organizations and experts, to share their insights, to take stock of lessons learnt and to explore what more can be done to support the greater integration of developing economies into global trade. The discussions will focus on three main themes – food security, digital connectivity and mainstreaming trade.

Facilitator briefs members on start of formal dispute settlement reform work
The facilitator for the negotiations on dispute settlement reform, Ambassador Usha Dwarka-Canabady of Mauritius, briefed WTO members on 20 June on the start of the formal process regarding WTO dispute settlement reform. Co-convenors appointed to assist the process also briefed members on the discussions they held regarding the issues of appeal/review and accessibility.
Montenegro formally accepts Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies
Montenegro deposited its instrument of acceptance of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies on 14 June. Ambassador Slavica Mila?i? presented Montenegro’s instrument of acceptance to Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
DDG Ellard welcomes participants to 2024 John H. Jackson Moot Court Finals
Deputy Director-General Angela Ellard welcomed on 18 June student participants to the opening ceremony of the Final Oral Round of the 22nd edition of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition on WTO Law taking place at the WTO’s headquarters in Geneva. She congratulated them on reaching this stage of the competition and thanked sponsors and supporters of the competition.

WTO Open Day 2024
The WTO opened its doors to the public on 9 June to welcome visitors and thank its host city Geneva for many years of support. Around 4,000 people came to explore the WTO’s headquarters and learn about the organization’s role in facilitating trade and building global prosperity. Organized as part of activities to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the WTO, the sixth edition of the Open Day offered an opportunity for visitors to learn about the work of the WTO, explore its historic building, and take part in various activities on the lakeside terrace and inside the WTO’s headquarters.
