???Weekly NEWSFLASH??
??Open for trading or nah
We can’t help but wonder, seeing the relationship between collections and marketplaces these past weeks, what’s gonna happen next? Solana is definitely changing, and there is a shift going on, but is it for the best… A lot of topics opened up when some collections opened for trading during the mint; how will this affect the next generation of minters and their beliefs in the Ecosystem; or will smaller collections be able to handle this policy change of certain marketplaces?
We can't foresee the future, but we will definitely keep an eye on how things unfold...
??Solana clock, clocks out - running 30min late
/ Solana’s blockchain clock is currently running on its own time, or well about 30 minutes behind real-world time. According to their notice, the issue does not have any impact on network performance but it could contribute to reduced earnings from staking rewards
How did this happen? Solana uses clusters, a collection of validators that are responsible for processing transactions on its blockchain. PoH (Proof of History) allows for decentralized timekeeping across all the nodes in a cluster. When slot times become significantly longer than 400ms, the cluster’s clock begins to drift, and well it loses synchronicity with real-world time - sure that happened to all of us one time or another.
So girl, we don’t wanna rush you but you might wanna fix this asap.
??Terra collapse making waves in International regulations
Terra is known to be a project created by South Koreans and Korean capital, so it’s no surprise that South Korea will be the first country to intensify the pressure. The government has set up "Death" a financial regulatory panel, the IRS is investigating taxes, the National Assembly has requested Do Kwon to appear for hearings, and several law firms have initiated class action lawsuits on its behalf.
And the U.S., the current center of compliance for cryptocurrencies, DeFi and NFT, seems like it is starting to listen to their traditional central bankers, economists, and veteran investors who have been opposed to cryptocurrencies. So don’t be shocked that after the Terra incident broke out, the Treasury Department, SEC, and other major regulators have let slip that they are trying to tighten regulation on this basis.
