A survey of the world's solar panels shows a global energy boom - ABC News

The amount of solar power in the world has been doubling roughly every three years, but because it came off a low base, it's hard to get a sense of how remarkable that growth is.

At current rates, solar is on track to provide 12 per cent of global electricity in three years, 24 per cent in six years, and 48 per cent in less than a decade. It's been a staggering ascent: no energy-producing technology has grown this quickly before.

Global solar module prices stable-to-firm as markets wind down for year end

The Chinese Module Marker (CMM), the OPIS benchmark assessment for TOPCon modules from China held steady this week at $0.087/W?Free-On-Board (FOB) China, with price indications between $0.083-0.095/W.

The module market continues to stagnate as the industry digests the impact of the recently signed "self-regulation agreement" by over 30 Chinese solar companies, which aims to stabilize prices by controlling supply.
