-
Trammo, Inc.
and
埃克森美孚
have signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) to advance discussions for Trammo’s long-term #offtake of 300,000 – 500,000 tpy of low-carbon #ammonia from ExxonMobil’s Baytown, Texas, US facility ??
- The facility is expected to produce virtually carbon-free #hydrogen – with approximately 98% of carbon dioxide (CO2) removed and will use this low-carbon hydrogen to make low-carbon ammonia ??
- Trammo, a leading international physical commodity trader, will leverage its market and logistical expertise to deliver and sell in Europe and worldwide this unique low-carbon ammonia for use as #fertilizer feedstock and for other key industrial applications ????????
- The facility is expected to be the world’s largest of its kind, capable of producing up to 1 billion ft3 daily of low-carbon hydrogen and more than 1 million tpy of low-carbon ammonia. A final #investment decision by ExxonMobil is expected in 2025 with anticipated start-up in 2029, subject to supportive government policy, #regulatory permitting, and market conditions ??
2. Spain to launch €1.3bn hydrogen hub fund, earmarks €400m auction for EU shortfalls
- #Spain will soon launch its €1.3bn ($1.35bn) #hydrogen hub funding scheme and has set aside €400m ($415.7m) for green hydrogen projects that missed out on EU-wide auction subsidies ??
- Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez revealed that the Spanish #Government would unveil its preliminary plans for its €1.3bn direct #subsidy scheme for hydrogen hubs in the coming weeks. It follows a consultation launched in July ??
- Sánchez added that €400m from Spain’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) – set aside for a national #greenhydrogenauction – will support projects that received a “positive evaluation” in the EU’s European Hydrogen Bank (EHB) pilot auction but missed out on #funding ??
- Sánchez stressed that the country’s economy was growing thanks to its #decarbonisation effort, saying that its “green, baby green” approach was “giving great results.” “The economy is growing, we are sharing wealth better and we are caring for the planet like never before in Spain,” the PM said ??

European Union
(EU), further advancing its mission to deliver #sustainable energy solutions and strengthen its commitment to a greener future ??
- The CertifHy scheme, officially recognised by the
European Commission
, enables end-users across the EU to access #greenhydrogen or low-carbon hydrogen. It offers a comprehensive framework for certifying #renewable hydrogen and e-fuels, ensuring full compliance with EU regulations and international standards ??
- Hygenco’s commitment to these rigorous standards was thoroughly #audited by the Bureau Veritas, a globally recognised testing agency, the green hydrogen and green ammonia producer said ??

Luxcara
and GreenH has reached final investment decision (#FID) ?
- The Bod? Hydrogen Project, located at Langstranda in Bod? municipality, will in phase 1 have an #electrolyser capacity of 20 MW and an annual production capacity of up to 3,100 tonnes of green hydrogen. In phase 2, an additional 10 MW will potentially be installed, raising annual production capacity to about 4,800 tonnes ?
- Luxcara and GreenH recently secured NOK129m (c.€11m) in funding from Enova, a state enterprise owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment, for the Bod? project in December 2024, enabling them to now move to FID ??
- Preparatory work on site is already underway and #commercialoperations are expected in 2026 ??
- The hydrogen will be delivered to the Vestfjorden ferry connection operated by Torghatten Nord. The #facility will be the first to supply pressurised green hydrogen directly from the facility to a #maritime vessel ??
