Louis Vuitton launches new NFT, a virtual trunk costing 6,000 euros
The 200 editions of this digital collectible (or NFT), are priced at 6,000 euros and are reserved exclusively for the brand's VIA customers, a program it launched in June 2022. This is the first major project dedicated to Web3 to be carried out directly by the brand, leading it to sell digital products for the first time in its history. Until now, it had only made rare forays into this field, in the e-sports sector, via a partnership with the League of Legends game in 2019, and through the Louis The Game video game, launched in 2021, with a very first series of NFTs, which were not marketed. This exclusive digital journey harnesses the power of Aura Blockchain Consortium’s Multi-Token Minter (MTM), seamlessly blending digital art and craftsmanship. (Fashion Network)
Balenciaga is giving its clothes their own exclusive soundtrack
A new partnership with digital identity company Eon enables wearers to listen to an Archive song that was created for Balenciaga Music. Only people who scan the physical product have access, marking Balenciaga’s first time experimenting with connected clothing. Balenciaga is equipping its new line of hoodies and sweatshirts with an exclusive song that is a favourite of artistic director Demna. People who scan a near-field communication chip on the garment can access a new song and playlist from trip-hop group Archive. The song can’t be shared as the link is encrypted — it can only be heard by scanning the garment. (Vogue Business)

The 10 Biggest AR, VR And Immersive Internet Trends In 2024
The term “immersive internet” refers to what I believe will be the next stage in the evolution of the online environment. It’s about moving beyond flat web pages, images and videos to create experiences that are more engaging, as well as conducive to shared interaction and collaboration. It will include technologies such as augmented reality (AR and virtual reality (VR). It’s a fact, though, that the internet is constantly changing – from static web pages to the social web and the mobile web. As it evolves, I believe the emphasis will be on immersive experiences that enable users to interact and engage with each other in far richer ways. (Forbes)
Amazon joins AI image creation fray with new model
Amazon is joining the AI image generation fray with the release of its Titan text-to-image AI model. Announced during the AWS re:Invent conference, Titan Image Generator can create “realistic, studio-quality images” and is supposed to have built-in guardrails against toxicity and bias. Titan isn’t a standalone app or website but a tool that developers can build on to make their own image generators powered by the model; to use it, developers will need access to Amazon Bedrock. Swami Sivasubramanian, AWS vice president of database, analytics, and machine learning, previewed Titan Image Generator during his keynote, pointing to the model’s ability to not just create an image from a natural language prompt but also change out backgrounds.
