Weekly News Letter
Paul Sunderland
Regional Sales Manager at Rothenberger UK Ltd covering Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, South East London, South West London and Middlesex.
I hope everyone had a nice week. It has been a busy week so far and there is a lot more to come, and we are ever inching closer to Installer Live. Myself and RSM Natasha Blackburn, are running demo mornings across the Tucker French branches over the next couple of weeks, with Epsom and Wandsworth being the start. So if you run a merchant, have you considered doing a demo morning or demo lunch? These events can attract extra footfall on the day when advertised before the event and are a good way to attract new customers to your branch or shop. Plus advertised offers on the day have an added benefit of increasing margin and sales. As always Rothenberger UK is pretty much at the forefront of these events, well to me it does. Every one of our RSMs attends events across the UK pretty much every day promoting Rothenberger, so if you feel this might be of benefit to your business, why not get in touch?
Outstanding Stands
HPS Sevenoaks Unit 4, Bat & Ball Park, Sevenoaks, TN14 5LJ
Our first outstanding stand this week is HPS Sevenoaks.
Jon and the whole team at Sevenoaks wanted to complement the tool ranges that the branch already had in place with a 1m Rothenberger stand. The branch also took in Sievert ranges as well. The branch has a complete range of Rothenberger tools and to top off the range, the branch hires out our Rofrost turbo freeze machine and our Compact press machine. So if you require anything Rothenberger and you are near Sevenoaks, drop in and speak to the whole team at HPS Sevenoaks
Travis Perkins Woolwich, 653 Woolwich Rd, Woolwich, SE7 8LH.
The second outstanding stand this week is Travis Perkins Woolwich. The branch has an excellent Plumbing and Heating department, and it shows with the wide range of Rothenberger tools on display. Taking up across a 2m stand, the branch has everything from soldering to drain cleaning.
So a big thanks to both branches this week for your displays. And remember if you want to appear on outstanding stands and you stock Rothenberger, why not let me come in and merchandise your stand?
Talking of merchandising stands, the day the day-to-day running of a branch can be fast-paced and full-on and rarely leaves much free time, and I can testify to this running branches in the past. Some things sometimes get neglected, like display stands, but to resolve this, call your local RSM. They will always be willing to come in and give a fresh take on your stand.
So don't stress about a stand, and give your Rothenberger RSM a call. They can also point out items you might be missing or advise on what tools you might take advantage of.
Tool of The Week
Pipe Cut Mini (1000003420)
The pipe cut mini is another one of our cordless machines. The thought process behind this clever little tool was to cut various pipe materials up to 110mm in a safe manner.
The cutter comes with the standard charger along with a 4amp battery, a fire-resistant chipping bag and a convertible guide rail.
The powerful 18v battery supplied has enough power in it to be able to do 140 cuts before recharging the battery.
The guide rail is hinged allowing for the larger-sized pipe to be accommodated and to be rotated on the ball bearings for a complete circular cut.
Plus the guide has a few other recesses to allow you to cut bolts and flat bar or uni-strut.
The pipe cut mini has the bonus of being able to be released from the guide, so it can be used as a circular saw, plunge saw or cross-cut saw.
Alongside the standard kit, you can also purchase blades for steel and stainless steel and a mini cross-cut guide.
The saw, battery and charger, chipping bag and guide rail come packed in one of our sturdy Ro cases for easy transport
The pipe cut mini is available to order from all good Rothenberger stockists.
VACANCIES
Only one this week. Plumbase Charlton is looking for a counter salesperson to complement the branch team already in place. So if you are interested or know someone interested, please contact the branch on 0208 858 3242 and ask for Rob.
Finally...
A lull before the storm next week but more of that next week, Tuesday will be another demo morning for Tucker French in Stockwell, so if you are in the area pop in and say hello and then on Thursday a demo morning with Wolseley Greenford. So have a nice sunny weekend and another newsletter next Friday.
Paul
