Bird, shared micromobility company, has acquired its competitor Spin from Tier for $19 million. Previously Spin was bought by TIER Mobility from 福特 back in March 2022 to expand further its presence in the U.S. This acquisition gives Bird a larger geographic footprint as well.
DHL Group, German green energy company HH2E and Sasol are working together to expand sustainable aviation fuel production in Germany to help reduce carbon emissions. Airbus plans to join the project later on. The partners plan to produce at least 200 000 tonnes of eSAF per year with the potential to go up to 500 000 tonnes.
3. No diesel for 沃尔沃汽车 ?
Volvo has announced last Tuesday that it will stop the production of the remaining diesel models by early 2023 as it head towards all-electric produce. This will make the carmaker one of the first ones to take this step. Volvo has committed to going full electric by 2030.

4. First green container ship ?
The first green container ship in the world has been introduced last week in Denmark by European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen . The ship Laura Maersk, named after the Danish company that owns it, will run entirely on green methanol. It's a milestone for the shipping industry as it produces around 3% of greenhouse gas emissions, hoping to reach net zero by 2050.
5. Green sweeper ??
In the run for a zero-emission all-electric world, Seattle Department of Transportation started a program to test the new bike-lane electric sweeper, a compact vehicle designed to weave between curbs to suck up the leaves and rocks that can disrupt cyclistes. This vehicle is only a part of city's goal to electrify its entire fleet of 3 650 vehicles by 2030.
