An earlier peak season for ocean shipping ?
What is called "Peak Season"?in ocean shipping is set to happen in the same time period each year: around September and October. In a short time frame, container demand?sky rockets and logistics actors are supposed to collect.
According to Hapag-Lloyd’s?CEO, Rolf Habben, peak season is supposed to start a little bit earlier this year. Expecting a weaker month in March, Herr Habben is thinking that further strikes in docks need to be anticipated by shippers. In fact, they would probably try to avoid the?high season bottleneck?in Sep.-Oct. and focus on Summer Time, the low and calm sason to ship their goods and avoid any blockage.
This would result in a Peak Season in July/August rather than in September/October.
New Boeing freighters for Silk Way West
In the last months, Boeing?has seen the worst of internet and international reputation issues. With dismantling doors mid-flight and broken landing gears, the company seemed to have reached its lowest.
Nevertheless, no matter how active the mocking is on the internet, Boeing still delivers. The 6 777-freighters?ordered by Silk Way West?are supposed to be finished next year, joining the two planes already received by SWW and setting the count to 10 airplanes in total at the end of the 2020s.

A long-awaited connection between China & Netherlands
At the center of international logistics, China is looking forward to connect its borders with the rest of the world. In that case, the rest of the world is a specific target-market: Europe.
Last week, a crucial milestone?has been reached. China is now connected to the Netherlands, ensuring growing?trade volumes?and mutual investments. On top of that, European countries are reinforcing their railroad connections, just like Germany and the Netherlands, which will be followed by neighboring regions, spreading the Chinese clutch over the European Continent.
Customs & Regulations
The European Parliament has voted in favor of harmonizing the rules governing abnormal transport, a change strongly advocated by the European Association for Abnormal Road Transport and Cranes (ESTA).?This vote represents a significant milestone towards the revision of the EU’s Weights and Dimensions Directive (96/53).
Consequently, the benefits of these changes, include simplifying paperwork, reducing bureaucracy, and promoting safety and efficiency?in the abnormal transport industry.
