Tony Robbins was speaking to his coaches about relationships. He said even the best of the best, the top of the top can have and do have challenges. He gave the group the story of how one of his clients, who is a multi-billionaire, and one of the most well-known people on the planet, said to him, I'm so grateful for all of my life. I'm so happy with everything in my business. Everything is amazing. I could have everything I could ever wish for, but I'm miserable in my marriage. Tony told how he helped him, coached him and mentored him through that. And now that man is a very, very happy man and has an extraordinarily wonderful relationship with his wife. Thank you Nicky Greer - PLO Trainer.
If you can afford Tony Robbins then contact him, otherwise I can certainly help you to achieve the same results.
There are seven principles for having a harmonious relationship. I recently did a web event about these seven principles, which are adapted from Dr. John Gottman (see recommended book). I love all of the principles, but the one that probably is least considered is principle number 6: The difference between resolvable and perpetual issues. 70% of issues between couples are perpetual, meaning there is no resolution. The best way to handle these are to agree on how to deal with the unresolvable problem e.g. you are highly unlikely to change a mother-in-law's need to control their child's life! Resolvable may create arguments, but in time and with work a solution can be found.
What perpetual issues do you have that you never find a solution to? How about finding a way together to deal with it instead?

"Why not have a Life by Design not a Life by Default"
I thought this was a phrase I used, but this week I heard Daniel Hill, Property Entrepreneur use it in his Podcast (see recommendation), so I guess I will attribute it to him.
Harmonising Business and Home: A Key to Success for Entrepreneurial Couples
Balancing the dual roles of business partners and life partners can be a challenging yet rewarding journey. For couples who share the responsibilities of owning a business, maintaining harmony in both their professional and personal lives isn't just beneficial – it's a cornerstone for success and happiness.
In the world of business, harmony acts like a secret ingredient that enhances collaboration and understanding, it’s what sets you apart as both a service provider and an employer.? That is provided you leverage the good parts of being a lifetime team. ?Imagine how much smoother decisions can be made when both partners are on the same page and presenting a united front in the face of challenges. ?It's having your best friend and closest confidant to share your decisions with.?

This unity not only boosts productivity by focusing energy on growth and innovation rather than conflicts but also paints a positive image of your brand. After all, a couple that works well together is a testament to effective, cohesive leadership.
Now, let's turn to harmony on the home front. Keeping a harmonious balance at home ensures that the pressures of business don't overshadow the joys of personal life. It's about creating a supportive environment where you can both unwind and recharge, providing a steady foundation for those inevitable ups and downs in business. Plus, nurturing your relationship outside of work is key to growing together, not just as business partners but as life companions.
How do we cultivate this harmony? It starts with understanding each of you and what makes you ‘tick’, I call this your personality identity.? Understanding and respecting each other's strengths and challenges fortifies this bond, especially during tough times.
Practice smart time management, ensuring that business discussions don't encroach on your personal moments. And when disagreements arise, as they naturally do, focusing on solutions rather than problems makes all the difference. ?Don’t let the bedroom become the boardroom
It’s also about open and honest communication. Talking openly about expectations and setting clear boundaries helps in distinguishing business time from personal time. ?By staying in your lanes and not straying into each other’s you will build that harmony, both in business and at home.
Last but not least, encouraging personal growth and self-care for each other can help prevent burnout, keeping both your business and relationship fresh and vibrant.? This can be overcome by having a ‘North Star’ plan that keeps you on track to meet your long game and remembering why you went into business in the first place.
For couples navigating both business and life together, harmony is not just a nice-to-have; it's essential. It’s about striking that delicate balance where your business thrives, and your relationship flourishes. By consciously nurturing harmony in every aspect of your lives, you create a synergy that drives both your business and your personal life towards a fulfilling and prosperous future.
I have a book and a podcast to recommend this week:

My last week has been extremely busy after attending the Adam Stott and Ross Temple Branding Retreat in Ashford, followed by a weekend in Tunbridge Wells. Since then I have appeared in three publications, been a guest on one of the Top 10 business podcasts in the UK, upgraded my branding assets, including my website and had two PR agencies approach me. I also won an award for Best New Product or Service. Since the Branding Retreat, I have also been more active on Linkedin and sharing more. I have also attended a masterclass by Adam Houlahan bringing me up to date on the latest features of Linkedin and Daniel Priestley on scaling the business.
