The History of Arab American Immigration
April is National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM), which celebrates the contributions of Arab Americans and the challenges faced by this community.
Arab Americans have had a significant presence in the United States since the 19th century, with the first wave of voluntary immigration occurring between 1880 and 1924 as the Ottoman Empire faced political and ecological crises.
This diverse group has roots in over a dozen countries, holds many different faith traditions and contains many unique cultures.

These practices include promoting diversity and representation in the workplace, addressing discrimination and bias and creating employee resource groups (ERGs) that acknowledge the diversity within the Arab American community.
