Creator Monetization startup, ReDesyn raises $500k ??
ReDesyn, a Mumbai-based ?creator monetization startup, is a PaaS (Platform as a Service) that?enables creators, communities, and apps to launch custom merchandise for their audience under white-labeled storefronts. It’s a tech platform where anybody can design, buy, and sell merchandise within minutes. The startup has raised $500k led by Fluid VC, Capri Global, and Modular Capital, along with other investors.?Shikhar Vaidya , the founder of ReDesyn, says,?"ReDesyn is tapping into the creator market by building India's biggest fan merchandise platform with a vision to enable 1 million creators to launch branded merchandise in minutes."
Our view
Customized clothing is growing the fastest in India. According to research,?53% of Gen Z ?prefer personalized clothing. In fact, Gen Z’s are extremely conscious about what they wear, as their outfits make bold statements and they want to stand out from the crowd.?Creators want to build niche communities and have loyal audiences who will convert into paying customers. We believe that ReDesyn is helping creators design their merchandise within minutes, supporting them to monetize their craft, and helping independent creators become global brands.
TikTok is testing "nearby feed" to display local content! ??
One of the most popular social media platforms,?TikTok, is now testing a?"nearby feed" ?that will display local content to users. Creators will have access to add tag locations to their videos. The new feed will display content that users truly want to see. For instance, if the users are looking for restaurant recommendations, you will receive the same!
Our view
Gen Z and millennials already use TikTok as their preferred search engine. With the nearby feed, TikTok is competing with Instagram’s newly launched searchable map feature. We believe that the nearby app will give local companies more chances to advertise and target a wider spectrum of audiences.?This will undoubtedly change the game in terms of target audience, search engine optimization, and so much more. However, one of the most concerning issues is privacy. Imagine the horror of knowing that anyone can track your location at any time.
