Would you pick art over content?

The opinions of the netizens are pretty much omnipresent across the internet, there is no escape. ??

Things are better than ever before but we all are familiar with the universal law No Pain No Gain ????????

We just gave you a sneak peek into this week’s newsletter.

Some freshly brewed perspectives coming right up just as you scroll down ????

That was good wordplay, what do you think? ??

Look what’s trending ??

Dumb or what? ??

Dumbing down. The double D’s. The name of the game right now.

If you present information in a style that is easy to understand but not necessarily accurate or comprehensive, you're dumbing down your content. Making your thought process more accessible through your content.

Being a content creator in this saturated digital world can be tough where going viral every day is an accepted sign of success to many. Very rarely do you see crazy concepts and authentic content go viral.

Just take a look at your favourite artists. Why do they eventually take the mainstream route? Because it works. It is more accessible to a wider audience.

Dumbing down in no way is a question of your ability.

Sadly you need to learn to get with the times or just be satisfied with staying stagnant. If you notice the evolution of content, many content creators produce straightforward, interesting, and visually appealing information that is sure to catch your attention.

Think in terms of an everyday consumer of the internet. After a long day at work, all you want to do is scroll through social media and you don’t want to burn too many calories in your head when it comes to the content you consume.

The real challenge is finding a balance to tone your art down without sacrificing your quality. You could hop on the trend, do what works best for the internet or do what works best for you and is a reflection of you.

People pose the question, do you want to make art or content?

Why not both?

You’re Cancelled ?

How can you joke about that?

That’s it, you’re cancelled.

In the age of cancel culture, where even the slightest misstep can send comedians running for the hills, it seems like humour is on life support You’re going through reels and there’s a reel of a standup comedian. He/She/They made a joke about a sensitive topic. How could they? ??

It’s 2023.

Logically if everything you find offensive or not funny is the guidelines to whether a comedian can say a joke, think about the 7 BILLION people across the globe and apply their preferences to comedy as well. If you do the math, no one would be able to joke about anything.

Wow, a world without laughter.

An ideal world for the sadistic.

A horde of overly sensitive keyboard warriors is currently stifling comedy, which was once the last refuge of unrestrained speech and irreverence. Or is cancel culture merely a humorous overreaction?

The whole concept of being woke has just been changed and revised much more than any of the educational books in schools on the internet Thanks to the internet everyone has an opinion about everything.

Opinions are like farts, everyone thinks theirs smell the best.

Paradox of Progress? ???????

Look around ??

Things seem to be way better than ever before ??

Better health care, better education and food delivery is at its peak. Job openings around every nook and corner. You learn about jobs you didn’t even know existed. Of course, AI is opening possibilities to an array of career choices. Everything you ever wanted is at the end of the tunnel and you’re encouraged to see the blurry light at the end by monetised mindsets.

Materialistic goals are normalised. No more of the don’t stare at it too much, it’s Medusa.

Side hustles have side hustles. According to the expert money-making gurus online, earning 10K a month is no biggie. 10K in US dollars, mind you.

Putting college placements to shame.

The last few decades have been the best in human history. At an all-time low for poverty. Racism, sexism, discrimination, and violence against women are at historically low points. There are fewer and fewer wars. People are living longer lives and fewer children are dying young. More money is available than ever before.

?Oh by the way stress levels have risen over the past thirty years too ?

Significant increase in the prevalence of depression and anxiety among humans.

Why is this happening? ??

Is it the technological revolution? Is it social media? Is it the inevitable economic insecurity among individuals? Is it information overload? With hustle culture romanticised, you can rule in work-life imbalance.

Our View

So much progress, yet every time things seem to get better the more anxious and hopeless we feel in the tiny little space we occupy in this world.

Riddle us that ??
