Hasta la Vista, opinions! ??
As of April 15th, only tweets of verified accounts will be eligible to show up in your ‘For You’ recommendations, that is, the main tab of the Twitter app.
Twitter also aims to remove ‘legacy’ blue checkmarks such that a user’s Twitter feed will be entirely flooded with tweets only from Musk approved Blue Tick users. ??
If you do go looking for tweets of the people you came to the platform for or of non-blue tick users, you will find it on the “Following” tab. ??
Say goodbye to good visibility for it will be taking a flight out the window! This comes as Chief Twit’s move to push more users to avail paid verification, thus boosting Twitter’s revenue. ??
Twitter blue has staggering 450k subscribers but that number feels quite small when looked at through the lens of being only 0.18% of Twitter’s total user base. ??
Our view:
Welcome to the Twit-user graveyard for here lies the interest every user once had in the platform! ??
With the blue tick user base being relatively small and being one that has views aligned with Elon Musk, one’s ‘For You’ feed may transition to being a one-sided discussion.
Now, who would want that? ?? ♀?
Brands, on the other hand, may begin to comprise a large part of Twitter Blue subscriptions as they would want visibility for their tweets. ??
While the ultimate goal is to eliminate bots that can’t afford Twitter Blue for their gimmicks, for this to happen, there needs to be a massive adoption of the verification which seems a little out of reach for Musk at the moment. ??
What are your thoughts?

While he described the platform as a “LinkedIn for Creators”, recruiting sites like Fiverr and LinkedIn may actually restrict creators in terms of finding industry-specific opportunities in showcasing their visual content. ???
As put by the platform themselves-
“Creators need to showcase their work, not a resume and their success is measured in growing an audience not work experience.”
The platform’s tools including their search feature, recommendations and chat tools make it easier for brands and creators to reach out and facilitate incredible collaborations with one another. ??
They also have Creatorland dashboards which provide visibility and analytics across all your platforms. ???
Creatorland is set to change the game for creators and their crazy, curious ideas! ??
WSC- World Startup or Scam Convention? ??
If you haven’t already seen, there’s been a fire in the start-up world! ??
A convention that took place between March 24th and 26th for investors and founders, made a full 180 by failing to deliver on its promises. ??
Organizers claimed to have expected dignitaries like Elon Musk (CEO, Tesla ), Sundar Pichai (CEO, Google ), Gautam Adani and Sheikh Hamdan (Crown Prince of Dubai).
The event was also largely spoken of on social media by Ankur Warikoo , Chetan Bhagat and the like. ???
On attending the actual event, hopeful and motivated entrepreneurs, founders and various aspirants were hugely let down for there were no guests, no investors, no dignitaries. “ONE BIG SCAM” became a running phrase to address the event. ??
A score of people, visiting from all over the country had spent large sums of money on purchasing tickets for the event, including students with small budgets. ??
Our view:
Not to take away from the seriousness of the situation or anything but, when one saw the chief guest lineup, it should have been obvious that this event was too good to be true ??
This was a terribly organized event that was covered up for with a glittering lineup including even Union Minister Nitin Gadkari who was the center of the event’s promo. ??
Ankur Warikoo, who was called out, for promoting the event, cleared the air by taking to LinkedIn and expressing that he was not involved in the conceptualization or organization of the event.
He had also requested them to stop running ads to promote his video which received no response from the organizers.
This event was a crucial one for inexperienced founders who simply wanted a chance to pitch their startup ideas but instead were faced with no protection whatsoever. ??
